Relationships- What are they?

Room 7 are learning about relationships and how they affect us.

Today we thought about what the word "Relationships" might mean.

We talked with each other and came up with some ideas.

These are what we thought it might "Relationships" are-

something you read about in books
a ship
something we learn
about letters that get made into a book
something we learn
talking
chips
a type of weed
when you have a relation like a Mum and a baby

Tonight we are going home to ask our family if they know what relationships are.

Room 7 Randwick Park School (RPS) -Who are we?

Hi all,

Room 7 is a bunch of 5 and 6 year old students who attend Randwick Park school in Manurewa, the heart of South Auckland.

While some people say we at Randwick Park,are a poor community, w e say we are rich in culture and heritage.

Our school has lots of different cultures. We are Maori, Samoan, Tongan, Cambodian, Vietnamese, Indian, Assyrian, European, Fijian,Chinese and children whose families come from so many more countries than that.

Our school are champions of Hip-hop and we have won the Auckland championship three times out of the last four years. We also are very keen sports people and have had great success in softball, rugby, rugby league and volleyball as well as in the athletic events.

In our classes we have computers, laptops and iPads. We go online to search for information, use internet sites to learn and apps on our iPads. We take photos of each other and our learning and are beginning to learn to take movies of ourselves using the iPad so we can tell you about the things that are happening in our class. look out for them. We record our music learning on garageband so we can listen back and play it to others. We are about to record a CD of our music learning soon.

We hope this gives you a taste for our school and what we do.
